Am I exempt from completing the continuing education requirements to renew my NY real estate license?

The only individuals that may be exempt from completing continuing education requirements are:

1) NY real estate brokers who are engaged full time in the real estate business and who have been licensed prior to July 1, 2008, for at least 15 consecutive years, and have maintained continuous licensure

2) Attorneys admitted to the New York State Bar who hold a real estate broker's license.
